September Volunteering – Start your Autumn Adventure now

20th August 2021

Now September has come around, we are nearing the end of the school holidays and many people are returning from getaway’s we’ve been waiting nearly two years to escape to. Now that we’re back, over the Autumn months why not consider volunteering?

We have showcased some excellent volunteering roles to suit everyone’s interests, availability and skills here for you:

Farm Volunteers

Like to spend as much time outside as possible? GROW Totteridge are looking for volunteers each Wednesday to help them with jobs on their farm – weeding, planting, harvesting and more! Find out more information here.

Volunteer TV and Chat Buddie

Do you prefer staying in and watching TV instead? There’s a volunteer role for that! Dimensions UK are looking for TV & Chat Buddy Volunteers. Volunteer buddies have developed some wonderful friendships with the people they support, so come and make a positive difference to someone’s life – having a chat, watching TV together and providing companionship.

Volunteer Chef and Kitchen Staff

Fancy yourself as a bit of a chef? JAIN Network are looking for volunteers to help with their cooking sessions. You’ll have the chance to come up with new recipes, cook vegetarian or vegan food and support JAIN Network.

Mental Health Befriender

Passionate about mental health? We have an opportunity to volunteer one-to-one with someone suffering with poor mental health. You’ll receive mental health and befriending training in order to support your client on a weekly basis. This is an amazing opportunity to gain more experience in supporting people’s mental health.

Training Officer Volunteer

If you’re looking to utilise existing knowledge in nautical skills, Edgware Sea Cadets need volunteers who are happy to roll up their sleeves, get involved and make a positive difference to the lives of young people in the area. They have a lot of different roles available, including showing cadets how to sail, powerboat, kayak, windsurf, teach first aid, football and more! Don’t wait – sign up now!

If any of these roles are up your street, click the links to see more and apply. However, if you’re not sure where to start or would like to find another role, you can see all our available roles here. You can also get in touch with us! Our contact details are below.

We look forward to getting to know you!
