Happy Student Volunteering Week!
14th February 2023
This week marks Student Volunteering Week 2023. It is a national celebration to recognise the great effort and impact student volunteers have in the community; we would like to share our gratitude for all the dedication over the years
At Volunteering Barnet, we are proud of the hundreds of student volunteers that offer their free time, skills and commitment to help their community.
We have highlighted below a few of the benefits of student volunteering
- Giving back to the community and helping others
- Developing new skills and gaining experience
- Building community awareness
- Meeting new people

We have also identified a few of the barriers that student volunteers might face when they start their volunteering journey
- Time commitments
- Flexibility
- Expenses
- Easy access
- Age
At Volunteering Barnet, we work very closely with other local organisations to provide flexible and accessible roles for students. Whether you are a student looking to gain experience in your chosen field, or someone looking to develop their skills outside of education, we have lots of roles available to suit you.
If you are a student looking to volunteer and start a new exciting journey today, you can discover all our available roles here.
Happy #StudentVolunteeringWeek!
