To the wonderful people of Barnet

I am Alice, the new Volunteer Brokerage Coordinator for Volunteering Barnet. I’m passionate about volunteering and have worked with a variety of charities and organisations in previous roles.

I have volunteered myself, both on an ongoing basis and for
one-off events, so I understand the importance and benefits of
giving time to causes you care about. I love working with members of the community, and seeing the difference volunteering hours make to the organisations they support. 

Since starting this role, I’ve met lots of organisations and volunteers already! I have been to volunteer advice sessions, a Volunteers’ Fair, and met with most of our partner organisations in Barnet.  I feel well-equipped to support both volunteers and organisations, and am looking forward to 2020.

We have our Coffee Morning coming up on 14th January. This is a great opportunity for organisations to chat to other Volunteer
Coordinators and get some useful tips about Volunteering. I’ll also be attending the Barnet Southgate College Volunteering Fair in February to promote our opportunities to students, so come and say hello!
