Be a key part of the COVID-19 response

Help, advice and roles

Barnet council, with the support of Volunteering Barnet, has launched its COVID-19 volunteering platform Barnet Community Response to support Barnet residents and local organisations and groups in urgent need of volunteers.

If you are over 18, in good health, and able to volunteer, sign up today to become a Barnet Community Response Volunteer.

Community Help Hub

Barnet Council in partnership with Barnet Together, and a task force of businesses, charities and faith groups have set up Community Help Hub to create a network of local support that will help Barnet communities remain resilient as the COVID-19 health situation unfolds. This page will be updated regularly with more information about where you can get help, and how you can get involved.

Support for local groups and organisations

Many community groups and voluntary organisations are going to be stretched at the moment. If you are a Barnet based community group or organisation we can offer help, advice and support during this time. Please complete this form so we can identify the best way to support you.

Request Support for Others

If you are requesting help for yourself or your family member, friend, or a close member of your community that is not medical related, then please contact the Community Help Hub for urgent help and support.

Other volunteer roles

At the moment, organisations will be working hard to arrange how they deliver services while also maintaining social distancing – but check our website regularly for new roles, especially volunteering at home to help organisations.

Some organisations are also recruiting for roles which volunteers will start when the current precautions end. They may interview over phone or Skype.

Lots of charities and organisations are struggling to continue their service right now. You can offer your support by volunteering for one of our registered volunteer roles. You can search and apply for roles here.

If you would like advice about volunteering, email our Volunteer Brokerage Coordinator Alice on enquiry@volunteeringbarnet.org.uk
