At Volunteering Barnet this #BarnetGetOnlineWeek, we are showcasing a number of roles that can help you start, develop or showcase your computer skills. Take a peek below and #getonline this week!
Admin Support Roles:
Barnet Furniture Centre is looking for an admin support volunteer to help them respond to emails, update spreadsheets (data entry), conduct research pieces, order office supplies etc, as well as customer-facing responsibilities. This opportunity requires some experience with social media so if you’re Instagram savvy, sign up today.
Walsingham Support is also looking for admin volunteers to help them with their online databases to support them with their day-to-day administration tasks, from creating meetings online and sending online training sessions to spreadsheet work and more. Get Creative with Social Media
If you enjoy social media and have some experience with website updates, apply to join the team at the National Childbirth Trust as a Social Media Volunteer. This is an exciting role where you can help make a real difference to parents in your community. Find out more here.
Supporting Older People
If you are warm and personable and enjoy working with people, volunteer with Age UK as a Digital Inclusion Volunteer. In this role you can help older people learn basic IT skills (either 1:1 or in a group setting) that could transform their lives, or at their home setting to help them become familiar with using their gadgets such as smart phone, laptop, or tablet. There are two roles available:
Digital Inclusion at Home Volunteer
Digital Inclusion Based in a group setting
